Please inform your managers and umpires of the following district rules that all interleague junior/senior league and all softball games will adopt.
These rules are designed to make sure that there aren’t any cancelations and games can be played as scheduled.
If a team does not have enough players for a scheduled game that team can borrow player(s) from another team in their league in the same division if they are not playing on the same day. The players borrowed may NOT pitch or catch. However, a reason will need to be given to the division ADA on why that team does not have enough players. If a team is caught abusing this rule that team will forfeit all remaining district games and the players eligible for tournament play will not be approved for district tournament play.
If a team is unable to borrow players a team may borrow players defensively from their opponent. The limit a team may borrow is 2. Those players may not pitch or catch for the team that is borrowing players.
Games canceled due to the weather must be made up the day after the scheduled game. If field availability or conflicts arise and a team can’t play the next scheduled day then the make-up must be players within 2 days of the cancelation.
Games being canceled or rescheduled due to other reasons other than weather must first contact their divisions ADA and then the AD via email with an explanation on why and then the DA will make the determination for approval.
All games canceled due to weather must be canceled by 3:00 via email or phone call to the managers, league Presidents, umpires, and division ADAs; a reschedule date must be agreed upon during this exchange. If an umpire shows up to a field and the game is canceled, host team or split umpire fees must be paid.
